F1 Legend Rubens Barrichello Meets Schumacher Lounge Guests at Monza
The excitement at the historic Autodromo Nazionale Monza moved up a notch as Formula 1 icon Rubens Barrichello joined guests for an exclusive appearance at the Schumacher Lounge.
Surrounded by passion, racing heritage, and the unmistakable buzz of the Temple of Speed, the beloved Brazilian racing driver treated guests to an intimate look back at one of the most colourful careers in motorsport.
Barrichello remains one of the most revered and enduring figures in the Grand Prix paddock, having made 322 Formula 1 starts across an illustrious career spanning nearly two decades.
Competing for premier outfits including Jordan, Stewart, Ferrari, Honda, Brawn GP, and Williams, he secured 11 memorable Grand Prix victories and stood proudly on the podium 68 times throughout his remarkable top-tier career.
Above all, Rubens is celebrated for his six defining seasons at Scuderia Ferrari between 2000 and 2005. Alongside Michael Schumacher, he formed one of the most dominant and synchronised driver pairings the sport has ever witnessed, playing a pivotal role in delivering five consecutive Constructors’ World Championships for the legendary Maranello squad.
During his special visit to the Drivers Lounge, Rubens captivated the audience with candid reflections and rare personal insights into his time working alongside Michael.
He shared fascinating behind-the-scenes stories about their relentless pursuit of technical perfection, genuine mutual respect, and the incredible team spirit that fuelled Ferrari’s golden era at championship circuits across the globe.
Highlighting his philanthropic commitment, Rubens generously donated his original race-worn suit from the 2002 Australian Grand Prix. This iconic piece of motorsport history will be auctioned in partnership with Bonhams as part of the Schumacher Lounge collection.
Proceeds from the auction will be split equally between his own Instituto Barrichello, which focuses on providing education, sports, and vital support for disadvantaged communities in Brazil, and the Keep Fighting Foundation, which continues Michael Schumacher’s inspiring global legacy.
